anybody know the specific tool that adjusts the caliper? it looks like torx.
ive tried every torx bit ive got but none fit.
its a weird star drive thing.

What exactly are you 'adjusting'? I wouldn't have thought you'd need to be playing about with it?

its the star nut that adjusts the pads onto the rotor. my brakes are binding, im thinking because the pads are to tight?

It's not an adjuster, it's a bore-cap used to seal up the bores after they've been machined and assembled in the factory. You need to look elsewhere for your problem, caliper alignment, wheel not fitted to dropout correctly, lever pulled without wheel fitted, or new pads fitted to a system that was bled with old pads in place are just a few suggestions.
