Does anyone know whether a 10 speed Dyna-sys crankset will work with a regular 9 speed set up? I've mixed parts between other Shimano groupsets for years with no trouble but people are telling me that the Dyna-Sys chain rings are a different kettle of fish.
If this is true, then presumably I can just replace the 10 speed Dyna-sys chain rings with some 9 speed ones from a boggered crankset?

If its a triple 10spd crank I believe yes, if a double it needs a new front mech, but should still work with 9 spd.
