Just putting my bike together with XT brakes and shifters.

Although the accepted norm is shifters inside brakes, I've put my brakes inboard of the shifters. This puts all the levers close to hand and leaves room around my grips to move my hand about.

I'm riding XC and so I only need my index finger on the brake.

It looks a little weird though!

What' others views?

Brakes inboard of shifters for me. Much better for one finger braking.

One finger braking here. End of the lever is almost half way along the grip so almost certainly would be levers inboard, but I went matchmaker clamps with my new X2's which are perfect with my X9 shifters
