Not been for years...worth an 80 mile round trip?
Gonna be sloppy my way tomorrow but want to get out....

It's better than it was, but still limited by lack of gradient. still a lot of puddles when it rains, but they've worked hard at the weatherproofing and it's definitely less sloppy than it used to be.

Half will say it’s terrible, the other half will say it’s great. Personally I reckon it’s a good XC loop that’s just gets better with speed. It’s not the most hilly area, only 150m ascent in the 14k loop. It’s well armoured, but does get standing water when wet. Usually do 3 laps to get a good session. Don’t expect a super technical session, just decent forest Singletrack. 40 miles each way is nearly what I’d drive to get there, and I’ll posibly be there tomorrow!

Ride there, do 2 laps and ride bike. Great long day out!

It’s not terrible and a lot of works gone into it I’m sure but I wouldn’t do an 80 mile round trip unless there was nothing more local.

There's an extended loop in issue 102 if you want something a bit more (yes, I know, there's a magazine! 😯 ).

Just be aware that thefts do happen there. Don't leave your bike on a rack unattended.
