A mate has some revelations and could do with a few insights if possible.

Thanks

Search the forum for this as there have been one or two threads recently.

I think you let all the air out of both then set the positive first.

Most people seem to put equal pressure in both.

With my Pikes I put a bit more in positive than negative. Don't like having all that small bump sensitivity.

yep i agree with tom.
also more in -ve drags the travel down.

on my 140mm revs, put about 5-10 psi more in the -ve to give better small bump sensitivity and increase the sag a bit - perfect

empty both (or have both equal)
set positive
set negative

more -ve will give more sag, less travel, better small bump sensitivity, more pronounced brake/impact/cornering dive, will bottom out easier

more +ve will give less sag, full travel, little (if any) small bump sensitivity, less brake/impact/cornering dive, won't bottom out as easily

Equal +ve and -ve works pretty well
