In the brave new post COVID world, where I work we are unlikely to return to full time office working. I work for a large company and within a very large function. Before COVID we are pretty good at organising various events that brought us together as a team either for collaborative work reasons or social events. Of course there are those who don't want to socialise at work, but it's a large enough function so there are always more than enough to support.
In the post covid world we're sussing out how we're going to continue this engagement and one idea I came up with was to set up a cycling club on Strava. There are plenty of cyclists amongst us, at all a variety of levels and interests so thought it would be a good platform for people to engage in as little or much as suits them, from just logging rides and giving Kudos to colleagues, or to organising group rides or even competitions or charity rides.
Setting up a club seems simple enough, but just wondering if I'm creating a rod for my own back in doing this or do these things tend to manage themselves.
Any advice or tips from those who have done this before would be welcome.
Thanks.
