My V12s have started creaking a bit so I've bought some new bearings from here: http://www.onlinebearings.co.uk/dmr-v12-pedal-service-kit-pr-17498.html

The video on the dmr website says I need an old pedal axle to get the bush out, some molegrips and a sturdy vice, all of which I don't have access to. Despite the video only reckoning it's a 10 min job the good chap at my LBS says it's a bugger of a job and wants £15 per pedal to get it done. Do I have to replace the bush to end the cricking or just the bearing?

Or anyone in Staffs with a pair of molegrips, a vice and an old pedal axle could help me out? ta 😀

it's a fiddly, time consuming job - £15 is a fair price.

why anyone thinks V12's are better than V8's is a mystery.

I think it's because they're sealed bearings, but as I'm finding, perhaps no better.
