my guide...

doesn't have any info about the removal or the preload adjuster on the left fork. Anywhere that does?

Or can anyone advise? Already I'm stuck at step 1....

which seals? wipers?

i use a strong tyre lever if so. Or you could use a large flathead screwdriver wrapped with an old teatowel or something to lever it out.

Apparently heating them up with a hairdryer softens them up and makes it a bit easier

Don't know if it's mentioned in your instructions, but if your lockout cartridge is in the locked position then it won't go back in. Took me a while to figure out what was wrong, so try not to make the same mistake as me.
