Hi

My brother just sold his DH bike and it has to go to the other end of England.

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced service that is easy to use, not bothered if it's a home collection, or if I can drop it off at a local depot.

Searching the forum seems to come up with moans and fakenger stuff, hence a fresh post.

Cheers in advance

So will Parcelforce take a box 1.5 x 0.8 x 0.2 metres - I don't get the combined length and girth thing...

I've had a bike delivered in a massive box through PF so I would imagine so.

I've sold/bought a few bikes and frames over the past year and I always use Parcelforce.

They go by weight only (when you book online), their costs are reasonable and they'll even pick the parcel up from your home/work.

Never, ever had a problem with them, which hasn't been the case with some other couriers.

I have used successfully ParcelMonkey.com (agents) a few times. Good price, service and configurable insurance.

Used Parcel Force loads of times without any issues, usually about £17 odds.

Parcel Force £32 🙂

Although their insurance would have cost something ridiculous.

Try Paisley Freight, not used for a bike but lots of car parts, just make sure it's fully insured.
