Randomly I have 3 bikes I am trying to sell for pals, priced between £50-150

I've had some interest, folk email asking to view, is it available etc, to which I reply, but get nothing back.

Am missing something in how it works? I didn't think eBay would be worth it given the price.

Gumtree is pretty full of time-wasters. There are plenty of genuine buyers out there so you should find one eventually but you do have to sieve out the idiots. I find the best way is to to do a quick general reply, if they then reply to that you can proceed to spend a bit of time on them filling out the details.

Gumtree does seem to attract lots of idiots.

Giving away a wooden front free.
"How much is door" free!
"Can you post" No!
"I really need this now will you keep until next week" No!

Etc etc
