As a general principle, is it better to try and sell a bike complete or in parts?
If I break it, then I run the risk of getting stuck with bits that no one wants whereas if I sell complete, I may limit the potential market and could get less than the sum of the individual components.
Complete...one hit with postage etc, one person to deal with..... component sale means lots of packing up, several people to keep track of etc.
In your experience, which works best for a fairly rapid sale?
Depends on the bike and the parts. Also what £ you expect to see back from it.
I'd never sell a whole bike unless it was a pub bike or commuter.
OK thanks....

Neither description fits...looks like the breaker's yard then! This w/e I'll mostly be spannering! 🙂
IMO it depends on the kit you've got on it. If it's decked out in bits that are in demand then split otherwise sell whole to avoid getting left with a load of bits you can't shift.
I have a buyer for the wheels already, otherwise it is reasonable stuff SC Superlight with new RP23, XT/LX/SLX/Raceface/Rebas etc.
