My mates bike has a seized Maxle

Has any one else had this problem? When unwinding the axle does not come out it just bends oene of the fork legs.

Fiarly common I believe - unwind it until the thread is undone and the fork leg sprung a bit and then hit the non qr end to free it. The maxle will be stuck in the central spacer of the bearings.

Thanks guys, i did do a search for maxle seized or stukc but didn't get any results ๐Ÿ™‚

Just clout it with a wooden mallet, mine left me stranded when it seized.
Had I known it would have felt the force of a large log, & not of the fecal kind either.

had to use the mallet trick on mine then a bit of copper grease stopped it happpening again.

once you get it out, you will see the build up of gunk. take it easy.
