Ok, so my forks seized (original thread here), and I am going to be taking them apart this evening for a DIY service.
I was just wondering if there is anything in particular I should be looking for, or should I just do a 'clean and replace oil' type service? They got a thorough soaking last time I rode the bike, and I *think* I rode home with the lockout on. I wonder if it's possible that somehow the lockout is not operating/switching off.
Any advice gratefully received. I have a service manual, a good set of allen keys and the correct damping oil. Oh, and a tolerant wife.
Oh yeah, forks are Magura Menjas.

Bump, because it would be really handy...
Quiet today!
Hi Poppa, have a look at the answer in the first thread, it kinda says what you should do there. If you've given the fork a service and / or are not sure how to do things, give Mike at the Magura service a call. Tel: 07773453681. He'll sort you out... ๐
