I have borrowed a 30.9mm dropper post for a forthcoming holiday however my frame needs a 31.6mm. I need it by Saturday and the LBS don't have anything, anyone got a suggestion?

How thick is a coke can? Is it anything like 0.35mm, I don't have a micrometer

no, but you do have a post and a frame... give one layer a go, if that doesn't hold it, try two layers or even 3.

Coke can shim worked perfectly in converting a 26.8 seatpost to my 27.0 frame - as such, you'd need quite a few wraps to get 30.9 to 31.6.
Pretty sure that USE do the shim you want

buy a 31.6mm-32.4mm chainreaction £5..trim a bit off the edge of the shim.works a treat ive done it.nice and tight with that extra .1mm 😉
