I need some new cables, I had gore sealed cables years ago but they're a steep price now. Transfil mudlovers seem a good alternative and Flying Snake do a set too - any recommendations?

I've used the Gore's in the past and they've been fine - some are still running in fact. But the latest ones ground to a halt on one bike - just seized up. Ended up sending them back to CRC for a refund.

Drill out the cable guides (or by pass with zip ties) and run full outer casing from the lever to the mech. It's reasonable sealed and a bit cheaper than Gore.

I would go for the Gore Sealed every time, fit and forget is what I've found in the past. One less faff after a ride= extra cake ๐Ÿ™‚
