I've recently switched across to Peatys sealant with the glitter (or whatever the little discs are) particles in there and the amount of them that ended up stuck to anything the sealant touches made me wonder whether it's not that compatible with tyre inserts (Nukeproof ARD in this case). Does whatever plugging debris is in the sealant not just end up welded to the inserts and leave the liquid swilling around in the tyre without it?
Am I over (or under!) thinking it? I'm just about to refresh the sealant in my hardtail rear wheel and have an insert I never got round to fitting, but it's making me question if I bother and if so whether I should use something more like Stans that doesn't have the same size/type particles in. I know it's a closed cell foam so it won't absorb the liquid carrier, but if all the particles are just stuck to the foam it seems a bit redundant other than as a run-flat get me home solution.
