Have we got anyone on here from the Cape Town area?
Just been given a bike built by Francois Du Toit in Cape Town, we think around 1982. It was bought by my best man's dad when they lived over there, and was tne first road bike I ever rode when his dad used to let me borrow it in the mid 80s.
His dad has passed away, the bike doesn’t fit my mate so he's let me have it. I want to get it restored, and was trying to get in touch with Du Toit Cycles, particularly to see about decals and any records, but can't access the website or get through by email, and it looks like the FB page went inactive last year.
I'm assuming the business has closed, but wondered if anyone local can confirm it, or maybe knows if there's any local collectors over there who might help.
I contacted them, and they pointed me to the Du Toit website, email and FB page, none of which seem to be working
