Hi all, I THINK I recall reading here ages ago about an alternative to buying a seal driver for 32 Rockshox fork seals, maybe it was to use a length of plumbing wastepipe? 40mm perhaps?
I know Fox need the inner diameter supported as the seal goes in, just being tight to save £15 for a seldom used tool
thanks
RS seals only need supporting on the edge to drive them in, fox need more support. I took one of the seals down to wickes and found a small piece of plastic pipe connector that cost me less than a quid.
For my Fox seals i bought a proper tool and it was much better. Got one off amazon that does 32 and 35/36 seals for less than a tenner
Hope freehub seal tool is the perfect* diameter for RS 32mm seals.
* If you have one that is 🙂
Last time I did it I used a very large 1/2" drive socket.
But I have a lot of sockets and YMMV.
Thx guys

Yep I do have one. Great I’ll give it a shot.

Same as Jag for RS and Fox.
I'll buy the proper tool for them and the fox ones next time. It would have been better but I was a week from going on holiday...
