Hey folks
I have a 2015 Scott Scale 720 and am trying to determine best dropper cable routing. The internal downtube routing from the front mech is going spare but exits under the BB via the guide. Has anyone any suggestions for the best way to secure external housing from the guide up to the dropper. Sadly my frame can’t take stealth. It may be I need to stay fully external but the partial internal is appealing!
Thanks in advance - Dave
Drill out front mech stop at head tube and drill out cable stop in BB cover.
Use stick on jagwire cable holders up the seat tube.
(At least I assume there are cable stops at headtube and BB)
If it's carbon, are you sure there isn't enough space to get past the BB and run stealth?
Yep, looking at this, probably a stealth option if you pull the BB to see how much real estate is available inside
I stealth routed a voltage fr, so anything is possible
I recently fitted an internally routed dropper on a carbon Spark 2016 720. It is routed:
- inside the seat tube
- out of the plastic cable guide (had to drill a hole in this)
- routed up the down-tube towards the headtube zip-tied to the hose for the rear brake
No problem with the BB, just fed the outer cable up from the bottom and with a bit of a wiggle it comes out the top
Not sure if the Scale is different?
Thanks for the advice folks - will try for stealth!
