Carbon scott scale 30 or 35, anyone use one for trail duties. Described by scott and others (reviews) as XC race machine but could it be an all day trail centre buster ?
I demo'ed a scale 20 and it was super quick, but not too steep. off drops it felt really smooth but still really stiff on climbs. I think the frames are the same, go for it ๐
Got a scale 30- had it 2.5 years - would recomnmend to anyone (have done previously on this site).5 hour rides no bother.Just a very good frame.
i've got a 35 but yet to take it to any decent trail centres. have ridden a fair bit of quick singletrack on it and it stood up to it well, its very light so you can throw it around well and relly good for climbing. recently cycled the south downs way and purbeck hills on it and the bike didn't miss a beat so i'm confident its a good trail machine and i love it the more i ride it.
I've got a scale 20 and think its a brilliant bike, they are very light but also stable through the rough stuff. They are fine at trail centres.
Anyone worry about frame breaks if you happen to grab some unavoidable air off of a jump (just come back from glentress and inners and sometimes you leave the ground with no choice) ๐
hmmm, ive dwelled on this since having the bike but am of the thinking that carbon should be able to handle it within reason. a lot of trail bikes are being made from carbon these days
I demo'd a scale 10 at Penmachno and was extremely impressed. Thought it would be a head down xc machine but it was a very impressive ride - sorted geometry and very flickable. Go for it.
i've got a scale 30 and i love it. raced and ridden it long distances. no problem either way. my back's a bit dodgy now so i got a spark and i'm loving that also. even so it's the scale i always look forward to getting out on.
