Hi all,

Just wondered what the difference was between the two? Are they essentially similar? Any thoughts, opinions, experiences welcome!!

Thanks

Andy

Got them both - they are quite different.

MM is a substantial carcass, the grippiest tyre I have ever tried, if there is such a word. Brilliant downhill. Don't want to be in a rush on the flat with it.

HD - is quite a bit lighter. Grips and rolls well so its a more general use type of tyre without the grip of the MM.

I am selling on the MM if you want to try them as I wanted a tyre that rolled better. Posted an add with pics a few days back.

What are you using it for? No freeride or Dh carcass for the HD yet so best avoided for those applications

The Schwable promo video shows the HD being ridden in the Alps although calls it "AlepnCross" which I guess is more rocky Alpine XC like. What's the view on them for that application.

Hammered some pretty rough, rocky Peak District stuff and small jumps/5ft drops on my Hans Dampfs, tubeless and at 35-40psi, no dramas, no burping. Like the grip (loads better than my Continental "you're-dicing-with-death" Verticals!) even on damp roots, they will slide (predictably) if pushed. Not tried the Mary's.
