Any ideas on how to stop your handlebars getting scraped to buggery from having a map board attached??

Insulation/ masking tape wrapped around them at the contact points maybe?
Or even rubber inside the clamps.

That could be ok, but would the tape itself not damage the bars taking it on and off?...

What are your bars made of cheese? Take the tape off - wipe clean

Alternatively use some of those little rubber bumper things used on cabinet doors, etc

I've used electrical tape and heli-tape. No it doesn't damage the bars taking it on and off - but why not just leave it there as I do?

Cut a piece of inner tube the to the circumference of the bar and place inside the clamp. I use that method on a rear mudguard.

If you care that much about the bike, are you not too cool for a map board anyway?

TooTall - I take part in a lot of trailquests, my last atlas bars got battered through map board usage, dont want the same to happpen straight away this time!
