Hi, iv got a saris bones to get about my lapierre zesty 214 , went to use it first time today. Fitted fine onto my golfR32 , but the arms of the rack wouldn't fit through between the suspension arm and top tube. (Despite the man in Evans saying it would!!!) . Looked around and found the saris bike beam. Basically creates a fake top tube between seat tube and head tube. Is this my best option? Anyone used one at all? For £30 it won't break the bank but would like to know its good and works before I get one.

Works for me mate, try Halfords as I got mine from there (own brand) and it was literally half the price of the Saris one.
I used one on my zesty and saris, works fine, I used to chain it up just in case.

Yes, around the main saris tube and top tube just in case straps failed.
