Here's mine, only difference is now i have an SLX chainset and XT shadow rear mech

[img] [/img]

It is quite light, haven't got an exact figure (will get it later when i cba faffing with the bathroom scales)

Fantastic bike - Must be, i've had it 4 years! The only down point is the bearings, but if you have the new LT2 your bearing life should be plenty long enough

Only change is that I now have Shimano DX flats. Pike 454 air u-turn, RP23, X9 shifters and mech, Hope Mono Minis. Only mistakes were DT 4.2 rims - should have gone for the 5.1's, and the Truvativ cranks - should have gone XT. Weight just about smack on 30lbs.

How much kit are you transferring from another bike? Check out the build kits because there is a huge saving over buying the bits individually - probably about £500

Just weighed it, just under 29lbs, forgot to mention it's a large. Not bad considering the heavy tyres and now the none xtr grouppo

Edit

Hmm just measured it again and it came out at 28 and a bit lbs!?!

Houns, how did you manage that? When I bought mine used the bathroom scales and it came out a smidge under 30lbs. Not heavy kit apart from the Pikes

Transferring from old bike:-
Fox Vanilla R forks
USE Carbon post and bars
xt chainset, XTR rear mech, Hayes Stroker trails 180mm rotors, Hope BB in gunsmoke, hope headset gunsmoke, Hope pro2 f & r gunsmoke hubs, xc717 rims.
2.35mm high roller front and 2.25 advantage on rear, both folding. It's replacing an 07 Meta 5.5, which will go on the bay when I finish transferring bits over. Will post pics when done.
Cheers

ams09121974, you need to bin the Hayes brakes which are horrible and get yourself some Hope Tech X2's with the floating rotors. You can then get the levers, rotor centres and piston caps in gunsmoke to match your other bits

Weighing your bikes on the bathroom scales is a pointless exercise, they're not accurate enough to give a decent reading.
