I'm going to swap from a Shimano freehub to an XD - does it use the same driveside spacer/end cap?
(I'm on 142x12)
I changed mine from xd back to shimano and used the same end caps no problem (Note mine is standard QR mind) won't have thought that would make any difference?

It may not fit. I recently swapped over a XD/QR freehub with a Normal/Bolt in setup and the bolt in endcap was a larger diameter so I had to turn it down slightly.
The XD - x12 end cap is slightly smaller diameter, if you install with the XD driver with the standard X12 end cap then it will bind slightly - Hope have different part numbers for them
I believe it should be bundled with the freehub, at least it was in my case (135x10 TA).

If you already have the freehub from somewhere else you'll need the XD specific spacer, as mentioned above.
