Seat tube is 31.8, Orange Clockwork (and Spesh Dolce Elite)
Just bought a 32mm Salsa Fliplock, and it really doesn't fit. On either bike. Tried splaying it with a screwdriver, and even splaying the gap by an additional 2mm doesn't help.
Internal diameter of the clamp, loose, is more like 31.5mm than 32.0 The not-so-great clamp that came with the Orange (and fits the Spesh) is more like 32.6mm
Anyone else had a similar problem?
Might seem like a stupid question, but I assume you've undone the bolt as much as possible?
Errr 31.8mm is the [u]internal [/u]diameter of the seat tube. You probably need a clamp about 35mm internal diameter to fit the [u]outside [/u]diameter of the seat tube. Unless the outside diameter of the seat tube is 31.8mm, in which case ignore me.

Sambob - Yup! 31.5ish when all loose and floppy, and then forced out further, still won't fit.
Are you fitting it the right way up? My hope one has lip which means it can only go on one way up.

Sounds like to collar you've been sent is the wrong size then.
It's etched 32.0, though. I'll see what cycle surgery say.
