OK - looking for a good Ti 29er and have come across this Salsa frame, which looks pretty decent. Only problem..., can't find where to buy one anywhere, either UK or abroad - anybody?

If anybody out there has one and has some feedback on it - that would also be appreciated.

No feedback on the frame but i have 2 Salsa bikes (Big Mama & Fargo)and bought one from the states and the other from my LBS. They were very good and did me a good deal. Most shops should be able to order a Salsa in, it just may take a while (My Fargo was around 6 weeks as it was not in stock in the UK).

Hi

I have the 26" version - the ti Ala Carte - which is awesome! The ti is beautifully put together and the bike is really smooth to ride.

I also have a 29" Mamasita which is the same - geometry wise - as the Ti El Mar. It's got the most podiums of any bike I have so that's got to be a good thing.

I don't think there are any more ti El Mars available until June - in the US at least. If you happen to live somewhere near Swinley forest you're welcome to come and have a go on my MAmasita to test sizing etc?

That's pretty sweet looking - I do occasionally get up towards Swinley (I'm based on the South Coast), so will drop you note to see if you are around (will be heading to Surrey Hills tomorrow I think).

If only I wasn't 6ft 4" I'd certainly be interested in the Ti frame on ebay ๐Ÿ™‚

Heh no problem - just send me an email on Georgebudd1@gmail DOT com.

I'm in Thetford this weekend at the Winter Series, but am around next weekend?

You're welcome to look at the Ti frame too - the 29er one is identically shaped/finished etc. Just bigger wheels, obviously...

The Mamasita takes a 2.25 (although there isn't much clearance on the seatstays).

The Ti El Mar takes a 2.3. Plenty more clearance.
