Guide suggests pressure to 100psi for the TALAS RL and 210PSI for the DCRV Rp2 for my weight (about 12.5st naked plus riding stuff), this works out at like 35% sag.
Took it out to the trails today (nant yr arian - welsh fire-roads, rock gardens, some flowy jumps and switchback singletrack on mud and pebbles) found myself with a quite bouncy ride bottoming out both front and back on small jumps or downhills, and I didn't feel entirely in control of the bike.
Is it meant to sit this deep in the travel? Should I up the pressure to get it higher in the travel? Anyone else with a remedy?
Had a Remedy 9 a couple of years ago and I'm near enough same weight as yourself.
From what I remember the shock came with a clip on sag meter?
It shouldn't be bottoming out on small jumps
Try increasing pressure by 5 to 10 psi at a time and aim for the 25% sag rate.
