This is bloody awful news. I met Ray on several occasions and always thought he was a top bloke who represented the best of on-one PX. The link to the Star article makes it even more tragic as I assumed it was an accident. Sincere thoughts and condolences to all that knew him.

That was what I thought when I first heard of Ray's death "Oh no not another bloke run down by someone on their mobile while driving etc"
Still in shock if I'm honest as despite being 4 years older and taller I sort of looked up to him.
And I was right to as I could never quite latch onto his wheel at the right moment when the break was going
