Once again it was wet and pretty muddy although not on the scale of last year!
Lovely place Ruthin, and a great place to stage this round. Fantastic trails on the Clwydians and once again great organising by John Lloyd and his team. My thanks to all the cheery Marshals all around the course, does helpt to lift tired legs ๐Ÿ™‚

I did the 55K route and that was plenty thank you - came in 59th overall and 26th in the 'old blokes who should know better' category (veterans)

I have to say though, i was struck by how many people were pushing their expensive dandyhorses up the first climb - especially when there were young kids who managed to ride it!

I asked John Lloyd when i came in, he looked on his computer screen and told me there and then.
Think my time was 4hrs 22min, pretty slow so i was surprised at being only 59th overall - don't know how many had signed up for the 55K though!

I actually think Ruthin is the toughest course from the ones i've done - Grassington/Ruthin/Llandovery/Marshbrook/Ruthin.

Mind you, i was an hour faster than last year!
