I've just change my front tyre from a Chunky Monkey to a Geax Goma and it's not a grippy as I expected (compared to the CM) despite reading reviews to the contrary.
Does it take a few miles to wear a tyre in (I've done about 30) or will it be as good as it get from the off?

I find that pressures can vary between tyres for best ride/grip.
Is it same size as the CM?
Chunky Monkey is 42a at the stickiest, goma 50/55 all round.
I was thinking the goma was awesome, but on wet rock on the Inners DH trails it was murder. Switched to a dual.compound Maxxis Minion on the rear and all is far better.
The Goma roll very well, but it just lacks for grip on wet rock for my liking.
Its not going to get stickier with use.
Interestingly Schwalbe go from.mega sticky to mega sh1t in about 6 weeks for me.
CM is 2.4 while the Goma is 2.25.
@rickon, I'm finding exactly the same,I like the way the Goma rolls especially after the CM but it really lacks grip on damp rocks and roots.
Looks like the CM might be going back on.
