Anyone else struggle to get full travel ?
I serviced the lowers, put in 13ml of fork oil in each leg for lube. Is that too much restricting full travel ?
TIA..
Had the problem twice. First time I found the damper piston would not push all the way in so replaced the damper oil. I thought 5ml was not enough and also couldn't get full travel.
I've got some new 150mm RLTs and they give all their travel very readily if needed, a lot more so than a few years ago, and easier than any other air fork I've ever used. ๐
PP - these are 2010's.
stripped, cleaned, lubed with 13ml of 7.5wt fork oil in each leg.
i'm assuming 13ml in each leg is affecting full travel being achievable ?
Have you tryed removing all the air from both chambers and compressing the fork, this will check that full travel is acheivable.
13ml is ok,think its 15ml max.
5ml is max for 2010

ok - will strip out and relube at 5ml
unreal as TFTuned told me i needed 15ml in each leg FFS ! ? !
I've got 10ml in mine and still get full travel.
10ml in both legs ?
Aye. I couldn't find the details online so just guessed ๐ But it seems to work fine.
furry muff - i'll drain and relube with 5ml tomorrow night......
My schoolboy arithmetic may be iffy, but for a 32mm stanchion, the depth of 15ml of oil is negligible,i.e. 0.02mm,am I missing something?
Ian
ian - have you allowed for the stanchion interference and damper rods ?
Oh just for clarity, 10ml per leg is what's in mine.
As long as you can fully compress the fork when both air chambers are empty,It will make very little difference,If any at all.
