I never really use the lock out position but noticed the other day that in lockout position they stiffen up but I still get a few cm's travel voicing on the forks in the garage - is this normal? Seems more of a firm setting than a lock out

Thanks

I had my RCT3's replaced under warranty at xmas, and noticed exactly the same thing, so I think it's normal.

Don't think it's intended as a total lockout, just a very firm setting

On my Revelations which are RCT3 I have the same thing i think it's to allow the fork to move should you give it a really big hit whilst locked out

Yeah it's not a complete lockout. Good thread on it somewhere with loco answering.

no - I don't think they are the same as Revelations which have a blow off valve which releases the fork if you hit a big bump

100% not lock out, it just ramps the compression damping right up. Takes more effort to move it quickly, giving the feeling of 'lockout' but will give if you hit something hard/fast enough
