Friend has some RS recon's - solo air version and we'd noticed excessive oil on the stanchions a while back so I checked oil amounts and replaced it. Not any problems since then as far as I know. But on a recent ride we got towards the end and they were sitting way down in the travel. air must have escaped.
So I'm guessing lots of seals could do with being replaced?
DIYable to save money? I've played around with my forks a bit (not replaced any seals though) so have the correct oils just want to know how easy it is to replace seals, and that I am thinking of the right ones.
I think you'll be fine doing that yourself. As they're RS, there's always loads of support material available to help you do it, both on the RS website and youtube etc.
Seal kit is £20 approx, sounds like you've got all the oils already - happy days. I'll definately be doing mine when they need doing, and I'm no carlos fandango mechanic.
