Anyone else thought using something like this (or homemade) to prevent the crap from buggering up their dropper?

Works well, doesn't catch the crap, dead easy to remove, rinse and refit

Slide a length of inner tube over the entire post - keeps everything tip-top.

Gravity Dropper fixed this about a thousand years ago but that's apparently not hip enough for STW. 🙂
