Arriving in Woodbury Salterton on Mon 8th Aug (East of Dartmoor).
Fancy a couple of rides during my five day stay.
Any advice appreciated to get the best out of the area?

There is none, the area is terrible. You'd be better off in Essex.
For East Dartmoor you'll need to get in contact with Trailmonkey & Yunki off here they both ride that side of the Moor a fair bit & also ride on weekdays.
Woodbury common has enough for a couple of hours and short blasts.
Haldon is worth a look.
Bovey Tracey is the epicentre of the best riding in the world 😉
