[Closed] Rode Dark Peak and White Peak this weekend for the first time...

...and it was absolutely awesome. Great weather (including forbidding, mysterious morning mists), great routes (Saturday a big Ladybower loop starting from Hope, Sunday a WHite Peak loop from near Bakewell) and all I can say is I'm jealous of the locals.

All other bikers friendly as you like. Thanks to the two fellas who checked my mate hadn't broken his hip - it was just a saddle/arse interface and he got better - and comiserations to the guy at the Ladybower inn with the snapped handlebars.

We'll be back.

Local stomping ground is South Downs, near Shoreham - lots of bridleways, the odd wooded singletrack, plenty of slippery chalk etc. Good fun all the same.

Pretty much every summer Mam Tor et al could double for the Nevada desert and Edale might as well be Las Vegas ๐Ÿ™‚

Yeah, went through Chatsworth in the morning mist. Great climb up the back of the house through the woods.
