Sick of getting mud splattered in the face but can't find any options for a front mud guard has anyone come up with an idea ?
Had a customer asking about this yesterday as we were looking at this bad boy

something with velcro straps perhaps? Nothing on the underside of the carbon crown to attach anything to, unlike a right side up fork with steerer tube exposed
My first thought was something that fists with an expanding bung in the steerer? Don't have any specific examples.
Failing that, a crud catcher? Or lemonade bottle cut in half. Should really match the aesthetic of a bike with £1200 forks....

The RS1 doesn't have a traditional steerer, there's no hole at the bottom, it's a single piece of carbon.
I'm just living with it, but as I always ride with glasses, it's not really a problem. Might pop a down-tube Crudcatcher on, but as above I rail at putting ugly stuff on a 7 grand bike.
My Niner rigid fork isn't too dissimilar. I mounted a Mucky Nutz Bender Fender. First I prepped the legs with gaffa tape to prevent paint damage then I used cable ties on the legs. Cable ties hold it secure enough you don't need to worry about the three ties for the fork crown. Added advantage is you can mount it as close to the tyre as you want.
Works very well.
^ Which will either be too high to do any good, or get ripped off when the wheel travels upwards.
I'd say some kind of Crud Catcher would be the easiest solution.
A guard that attached at the axles would be the best option...then it could hug the tyre as the suspension travels up and down. Something that doubled as stanchion guards on the way up would look good. I thought about making something like this when I was going to buy some Shiver SC forks. Never bought them in the end.....and don't have the required tools to fabricate such a thing anyhow.
Surprised no one makes them though...

I'm feeling slightly/very stupid now. I suspect I might have tried it if I had an RS1 which could have been amusing.
Surely one could just get ones butler to hold a small umbrella over the front wheel to deflect any dirt. Price no object etc. 😆
Id thought of maybe some thing attached to the crown with 100mm long light bristles but making it look good wouldn't be easy so I posted on here just in case
