[Closed] Rockshox remote levers???

Hi

I have just bought a 2016 Reba and I’m a little confused about lever choice. The SRAM website says I need the pushloc (10mm pull) but the thing would have to sit above the handlebar on the left as I’m running a dropper lever under it. A) it looks ugly and B) it’s screaming to be broken in a crash.

I think I can use the old pushloc version if I can find it on eBay.

I already have the poploc laying in the shed. I assume this isn’t compatible as it has 17mm pull according to the Stan website.

I’m also a bit disappointed that there’s no compression adjust on any of the remotes other than the poploc adjust. Which I’m guessing isn’t compatible.

So can anyone confirm that my only choices are left above oneloc or left above pushloc or am I missing a punters trick here somewhere??

That one is normally locked out isn't it? as in, when the cable tension is off, the fork is locked out.

it's a proper PITA, as the pushloc either works, and it'll work forever, or it never does. I've got 2 sat in my shed, both don't seem to want to operate correctly and there's nothing internally that appears wrong.

You're right in that a 17mm pull lockout won't work, you'll run out of cable before it locks. You could get a new, larger diameter blue dial for the top of your fork, but it's less than ideal.

I ended up using an old friction thumbshifter, which rapidly became my go-to with all my RS forks.
mine was just one of the cheapy ones, but you can pay out for a sturmey archer one or one of the microshift ones if you want something nicer.

Hmmmm, friction thumb shift, I’d never considered that. Thanks I’ll look into it. It was worth me asking.

yeah, all you're looking for really is something to move the cable into the right position and hold it there. The possible advantage of a thumbie, is you can partly lock out the fork, which is kinda like a crude compression damp adjust.

i ditched the stock lockout and got a twistloc instead. Far neater looking, haven't given it a full workout yet.

i had the wrong one on my reba, it was labelled in reverse.. click to lock.. push in to unlock...
kept quickly locking it all the time, which was the opposite of what i actually wanted

Oooooh, twist lock! Another idea. Cheers.

Amendment to the original statement: The SRAM website says I needed a Oneloc; which is ugly and would stand high on top of the bars.

Pushloc apparently would work too, but unreliable.

No SRAM options provide incremental compression adjustment.

I have a poploc spare but unlikely to work due to pull ratio being an extra 7mm pull.
