I've just got a pair expecting them to have a PopLock
but have been told by the supplier via LBS that none of the 29er ones have PopLock from the factory
and it'll cost £200-300 to convert them to have it
Are the suppliers taking the proverbial is that correct
If so I’ll have to put up with not having a remote (which I do like to have 😥 )
Also I ordered and the box says 100's, but there is exactly 100mm of stanchion visible.
Usually the stanchions show a good 10-20mm more that they travel don't they
Are they possibly set to 80mm and need a spacer out or something to release them to 100mm
The manuals got nothing! and I can’t find anything on the SRAM website either.
LBS have said the supplier in question is a pain in the arse and on average cock up half of his orders

Yes they are, but you will need a new motion control unit and then the lever and cable. I'd imagine it'll be £100. Best bet might be to see if someone will do you a swap with their Poploc compatible MC unit.

No. Not these days. That would be wasted space. In normal use RS forks will stop at about 95mm. That's the rubber bump stop inside. If you hit them REALLY REALLY hard, you get the last 5mm. 🙂
cheers peter
makes sense on the travel front just looked short compared to my previous 100's
do you know if they can be bought with the poploc from factory?
If so I may as well send 'em back and get the right ones
else I'll live with it for a bit an see about swapping the MC unit if I really feel the need
thanks again
Just found the Poplockconversion.pdf
Not sure about the price they gave you, but they're right about the c*ck-up factor.

Is the negative air filled? Could be pulling the travel down.
If not, then it's highly likely that they're set at 80mm.
With my Rebas, with no air in the negative chamber
100mm travel = 110mm of stanchion on show
120mm travel = 130mm of stanchion on show
