I've got a Dart 1 fork that I want to take apart to alter the travel/spring rate etc.
I couldn't seperate the lowers from the uppers.
Top caps off, spring out,lower leg screws out(by the D outs). Pulling apart but they would not release. Have I missed something?
The manual is Pi$$ poor, not even an eploded view.

Put the bolts back in the bottom of the legs, screw them in 3 or 4 turns and give them a sharp blow with a hammer, this should release the taper fit inside, unscrew and then pull the legs off.
