Hi all.

I'm after some recommendations on riding trousers please.

Not sure if I want versions I can wear my riding shorts under or some I can wear on their own.

Fed up of getting covered in mud and getting soaking wet.

What should I be looking at.

Budget of about £65

Decathlon AM trousers. £40 great. Not sure what sizes are left though...

I recently made the switch to trousers and picked up a pair of the bog standard fox ranger pants which have been spot on. Plain black, minimal branding, zip pocket and adjustable waist. £70 on the nose. https://uk.foxracing.com/ranger-pant/25139.html

For a cheaper, but no less good option, I'm using some Regatta Sungari trousers @ about £15.

I took them in a little at the bottom of the calf/ankle, so they're a closer fit.

Water resistant DWR fabric, lightweight so not too sweaty, perfect with some bib shorts and long Sealskinz underneath.

+1 for using long sealskinz underneath whatever you choose. I have the decathlon ones but the sealskinz are what keep your feet warm and dry
