I was testing a bike from a shop that I had just bought and after about 1min of riding down the street I noticed a knocking sound coming from the bb when I made each pedal stroke. I went back to the bike shop straight away and they tightened the main bb bolt with an allen key which solved the problem so it was tight, couldn't believe they hadn't checked it really as the bike wasn't cheap.
Would this have done any damage to the frame? It's a carbon frame, could the knocking have damaged the bb threads on the frame?
Sorry just seen my spelling. If anyone has ever ridden like this and got away with it let me know. I think I'm okay just wondering.
It won't damage the frame but it might damage the cranks and or BB spindle

you bought a shop?
I agree with TJ
i rode a 3 day welsh trip with a broken BB. not clever but frame was fine. obviously the bb got worse and worse, so you may have damaged that but for such a small amount of time it's very unlikely...
