I'm off to wales for a week and will be based in Aberystwyth.
so what's the riding like whats close and decent trails or should i just os map it,can drive maxium 1hr 30min away.

Check out www.mbwales.com if you are happy riding trail ctrs. NantYrArian is 25mins east of Aberystwyth and is well worth a trip IMO. 90 mins will get you to any number of great rides.
Nant y Arian. Coed y Brenin. mach1, 2, 3. Climachx. All good and quite different. i stayed at Aberaeron and also got Penmachno and the Marin trail at Betws y Coed in too. NyA is 20 mins away and great for a quick blast or a proper out there big ride too.

When are you heading up?
We have weekly night rides on tues/weds/thurs (whichever day works out most suitable on any given week). Monthly Epics (We're off to Doethie valley on Sunday).
If you prefer to ride alone, then Nant-yr-Arian has plenty to offer from remote XC to swoopy singletrack descents.
ClimachX is only 25 mins away to the North and offers one of the best descents around (heading off there on the night ride tomorrow). There's also all the descents from the Dyfi Enduro in the same forest and these can be linked in.
To the south and east is the Doethie Valley (see this/last months MBR), Elan Valley (MBR Route), Builth Wells (Merida).
So nah, there's no real riding to be had around here 😉
I'm arriving next monday....so riding from then onwards
