We will be in touch
Hi all
Will be staying at Bluestone National Park over Easter with the family. Is there any good riding to be had without having to drive an hour to the nearest trail centre?
Might be able to duck out for a ride if it doesn't take too long....
TIA
Hi, I went there a while back and took my MTB. There are some woods next door that have some trails in them. Possibly a little cheeky but Strava will show you them. I was there just a week of rain and the woods were very sloppy in places.
That being said I have one of those new fangled gravel/adventure bikes now, if I was going back I'd take that.
I did the Preseli Vertebrate publishing route when I stayed in Newport. It has potential to be a great ride if conditions are good. Still a 45 minute drive from Bluestone though.
Strava heatmap suggests a number of ne'er-do-wells have ridden the coastal paths near Marloes and St Davids
As said above the local woods have plenty of cheeky stuff ,which i found fine, but Easter may be a different story as more folk about.
We hired additional bikes from the hire shop too, using the downstairs wet room to clean our bikes before we departed may have given the cleaners a mean time though.
Local craft beers in the onsite pub too provided good refreshment.
Thanks!
Will do a segment search on Strava

Quite a lot of the Pembs coast path might be surprisingly ride able 😉
Give me a shout when you are about as i live here and may be able to help you out... Also check Facebook Pembrokeshire mountainbikers as they do rides on the Preselis and im sure they wouldnt mind a tag along.
Brechfa definitely worth a visit. If you bring a road bike i know the best back lane rides in South pembs and would happily take you for a spin....
