We're going to be staying in the area several times over the course of the summer and it would be good to have some nice local riding to pootle round. I have the OS map for the area, and have found some bridleways to explore but it would be good to get some local advice, if anyone rides in the area.

I know the Quantocks aren't too far, but it would be nice to be able to ride from where we are staying (toward the Western end of the Blackdown Hills, not far from Wellington Hill).

Anyone have any pointers? Any info will be much appreciated. ๐Ÿ™‚

Have a look at this thread, might be useful. I was at my parents last week nr there and thought of trying to do some local exploring as opposed to going up to the Q's.....As it worked out, I did neither!

Oh ๐Ÿ˜

What about Heydon Common/Heydon Hill way - looks like it has potential, on the OS map at least?

EDIT: Thanks for the linky fuzzyfelt ๐Ÿ™‚

There used to be Some DH tracks in the woods by the Holman clavel but I'd imagine there well overgrown by now.
