I don't use this forum nearly enough. So, I live in Dorset now but am moving to the Presteign area in around 6 months time. While I can't wait to move to the Welsh borders and get exploring the local 'real' hills, I'm very eager to meet MTBers in the area, or better yet a club of sorts to get involved in.

Trail centres in the South of Wales, also in the North but any advice on where to ride in the central border area would be amazing. Even better if I start to meet people before finally making the move ๐Ÿ™‚

Jerry who was the co organiser for the Marin Rough ride series of events used to be the go to guy in the area, there used to be a rough rides website which had loads of routes in the Marches.

I live near Newtown, which isn't far. Don't mind showing you a few routes. There is a weekly night ride from blazing bikes near church stretton. Also, the Jon Dixon guidebook on mid wales is good.

There are some good trails in Nash wood in Presteigne.
Pop over to Pearce cycles in Ludlow. They know the area pretty well, their mechanic lives in Knighton.
