Pebbles? So easy to wash out if you lean the bike over on the side nobs.

Yes hora it was probably the pebbles. I, myself died only last week because of the pebbles at the chase.

Hora not everybody has a problem with the pebbles. You are so vocal in your inability to ride them that everytime you mention them it feels like you are jumping up and down waving a flag and shouting, "Look at me I can't ride a bike!"

...LEANING on shiny pebbles. True. I think that surface catches alot of people out.

Hope the rider is OK and recovers to ride the pebbles again.

Every time I go to Cannock I spend the first five minutes in Horaville thinking "***k these pebbles are slippy and I feel like Bambi on rollerskates!". Thirty minutes in to the ride and they catch me out on the odd corner. After that I pretty much forget about them as I've found the grip level and just enjoy my ride. I imagine if you ride there regularly you don't even notice them.

It happened at upper cliff near the very top I think on the first few jumps. Paramedic was holding the guys head keeping it stable. Thought he might have broken it. He was wearing a dh top so imagined he was experienced? Assume he just misjudged something.

Took it easier all the way around after seeing that and thought about it all the way home.

Must get a Will and LPA sorted soon!

I don't have an issue with the pedals either....must be my fashion bike!

Hope the rider is Ok. I rode the Dog on Friday and it was really dry and fast, do I'm guessing that it's caught a few people out. This sounds like a bad one though.

Damn predictive text...I meant pebbles.

I ride a Banshee which is a fashion bike according to a certain someone who can't ride on small stones. All because there have been a few threads about them.

I always had to take 2 pairs of shorts to Cannock, it was so common to sh*t yourself when you saw the pebbles...

On a serious note when is Hora off to the international air/sea/road crash investigation unit?

On a serious note..

Hope the rider is OK.

The sooner Cannock is closed to mountain bikers to allow it to concentrate on its core activities of chopping down trees and walking dogs the better IMO.

I rode cannock for the first time in a.while on Thursday. I couldn't believe how many dog walkers and other meanderers there were on.the trail! First time I've encountered such idiots.

Run tyres with lower side knobs?

Never had a problem with the pebbles at Cannock.

Every time I ride Cannock I fall off due to pebbles, every time I visit the Peak I wash out on the scree & only last week I fell off due to an uneven surface on the tow path.
It's about time the bloody lot were tarmacced!
