Toying with the idea of a new commuting bike on the R2W scheme.

The Spec is full Tiagra 10spd, the Trek is 105 for £100 more, the Langster is a curveball seeing as I commute out of the Rossendale valley to accrington everyday.
Any thoughts to sway me one way or another?

Currently happily plodding along on a pretty heavy Kona Smoke, do ijust spend £500 odd quid upgrading this?

TIA

Cannondale Synapse Tiagra but my money would go on a Giant Defy 1.

our scheme is through Evans so no Giant. Another option is a 2012 Spec Crux Elite cyclocross bike when they come out seeing as a i sometimes plod up the railway path out of Acrrington,

I bought a Allez elite last year, tiagra spec,I use it for occasional commuting,31 mile round trip and lots of road miles on the weekends I don't use the MTB.
It's my first proper road bike & I love it,I know the 105 stuff is a higher spec but the Tiagra components are good enough for what I need. Being into mountainbikes,I think the next addition to the fleet will be a disc-braked CX bike.
