2010 Enduro, with Revelations set at 150mm,

Would like it a bit lighter and was going to take it the Andorra in the summer with the Revs on

Got Fox 36's (Van r's) already but in the interests of lightness, what does STW reckon.

I reckon that in Andorra you will absolutely want the bigger fork ๐Ÿ˜€

A 150mm Rev is about 20mm shorter than a 160mm 36; net effect on the bike will be about one degree steeper on the head angle, half a degree steeper on the seat angle and 0.3" lower on the BB.

These aren't minor changes and you will notice them, but they may not present a problem.

The best compromise would be a Bos Devile; lighter than a Float 36 but stiffer than a Rev and better damped than a Fox 34 (which would be your other option).

Ive got the Revs on another bike already.

No really rich enough to buy more forks currently.

Thanks for the input though

A friend of mine guides in Andorra and uses 150mm Fox 32s on the natural trails and a 180mm travel bike in the bike parks.

I rode there using a SC Blur LT with 160mm Lyriks last year, Ms AD had 140mm Pikes and had no problems. A couple in our group were on 29" S-Works Stumpies and did OK.

in terms of being able to handle the terrain they will be fine but they will have an effect on the geometry of the bike as Geetee says. Try it out beforehand and see if the bike still feels good.
